Jack and the Axes are an electrifying original blues band out of Newcastle.
With a large collection of original songs influenced by classic blues artists the band brings their years of industry experience to the stage in a powerful and provocative performance.
Along with mature songwriting, lead singer Anyerin Drury brings gutsy vocals, emotional guitar lines, blistering organ and killer harp solos, supported by a solid but spicy rhythm section from bassist Danny McKibben and drummer Aiden Smith.
The band is on a roll, having performed at Australia’s largest blues festivals including at Gympie Muster, Echuca-Moama Winter Blues, and Airlie Beach, and with their catchy tunes and intense dynamic expression, Jack and the Axes will leave you wanting more of the blues.
